And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

Romans 4.19

Often comes that moment that’s different from yesterday. That moment when you feel less willing to repeat your obedience again, less able to give everything to God through obedience. This moment is a decisive moment that marks an attempt by your flesh to divert your focus from the Holy Spirit to its desires. This moment is your pulpit’s effort to shift your gaze from Jesus Christ to yourself and its desires. This moment is decisive; it’s not always intense, but it carries a character of discomfort in our bodies.

The flesh, in its debates, tries to give us the impression that without what it’s asking, we’d stop breathing. It says: “without what I’m asking you to do, you’ll remain unwell, you’ll be weak, you won’t be able to rest and you won’t be able to breathe”.

At such times, the pulpit becomes an expert, a preacher of what cannot be done without it. But it preaches lies. Yes, the flesh lies! It tries to make people believe it’s the solution, when in fact it causes the problem.

Often at these moments, the Holy Spirit is calm, especially if he has already given the instruction we are supposed to be practicing! At that moment he observes our reaction.

Now I am asking to you:

Have you ever resisted to the point of blood?

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

1 peter 4.1

Is grace a reason to sin?

Is it because Jesus can forgive and restore that you can afford to sin now? Is there a right time to sin?

Will you let sin be your master? Will you allow yourself to be unfaithful to God?

Thus saith the Lord, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

Jeremiah 2.5

Do you not fear God? Will you delay or destroy what he is building? Will you stop the transformation he is working on in you?

And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of his hands.

Isiah 5.12

HOW TO BE VICTORIOUS?

Stop if you can, saturate yourself from this moment on with the word and submit to God’s instruction and continue to obey and above all go and dwell in his presence where he gives us the strength to resist. If you can’t obey, go and stay in prayer! It’ll be uncomfortable for a while, but not forever.

To those who don’t even have the strength to pray, open your mouth and sincerely say to Christ, “Make me pray, Holy Spirit”. Tell him until the shift.

KEEP THIS IN MIND

To sin is to show independence from God.

God can replace everything, but nothing can replace him.

To sin is to make a transaction with Satan. Don’t do it.

You need to know what your obedience and disobedience represent.

Remember why you obeyed the first time, the devil can’t force you to do what you don’t want. So don’t want to.

ABRAHAM DID NOT FAIL BECAUSE HE DID NOT CONSIDER HIS BODY.
